Walking through Old Quebec like a goblin - Day 2
We started the day by rolling around in bed. Thanks to the time difference it wasn't that easy to get going. But we got going by walking along the fortifications of Old Quebec.

The streets are really cute here and feel really European.

We were a bit surprised to see a mention of Calgary here but Steve recalls something about Quebec being a sister city of Calgary or something like that.

We passed by a cool church that was surrounded by some artisans selling arts and crafts. Thought about buying a couple of things but nothing really jumped out as a must-buy. We did go into the church and it was relaxing and quiet to sit in there for a bit.

Eventually we got to the Chateau Frontenac, the famous and expensive hotel by the water.

There's a big walkway that goes up to the top of the citadel and we climbed all 310 steps to get to the top.

After, we walked back around the other side of the citadel to check out the hotel itself. By then there were some street performers doing there thing in the public space in front of the hotel but we went inside to cool off and rest a bit.
While we're here in Quebec we're visiting a couple of locations that appeared in this Korean drama that was partly filmed here about 10 years ago. The main character is a dokkaebi, or roughly translated a goblin. They did a few scenes in the hotel and Rita had to re-enact one character sending a letter in the hotel to the goblin.

After, we walked down to Quartier Petit Champlain to look around. This is mainly a shopping area that's cool to walk around.

We then walked over to the Museum of Civilization to look around there and they had some interesting exhibits about crowds and the science of studying how crowds behave.

There were also a bunch of things about actual civilization, like how the people in Quebec got here and how everything developed over time.
On the way back to the museum Marcus got some popcorn and we rode a funicular back up from the shopping area to the top where the hotel is.

We walked to a place that had poke bowls and had those for dinner. We sat by a place with those squirting fountains that come up out of the ground and a whole bunch of kids were splashing through it and getting totally soaked.

Then we walked back through some more fortifications to the hotel, and got a couple of groceries before relaxing for the evening.

That's a lot of walking!
