Happy Birthday Canada! 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 Day 3

Once we got up, we drove to the out-skirts of Quebec City to visit the Montmorency Falls.

On the way, we stopped by a cafe which was highly recommended by a friend to get pistachio croissants.

🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 Butter + pistachio = croissant

The place is called Les Cafés Du Soleil and we all highly recommend the croissants.

We recharged in the AC building eating our croissants before lining up to ride the gondola up to the top of the falls.

From there we walked a bit further to get to the suspension bridge that crosses the falls.

Don't drop your phone!

'We' as in the kids were so hot during this time so they had to take many breaks in the shade. 'We' are all not used to hot weather.

The we climbed down stairs to get to an area where we could cool down with the waterfall mist.

The mist is so refreshing after a hot morning

We considered going for another hike in the forest a bit further out from the city but it was probably going to be too hot.

After the falls, we drove back to Quebec city to eat some crepes! We had savory and sweet crepes which were so tasty and satisfying.

Ham and Cheese crepe
Duck and spinach crepe
Strawberry crepe

The heat was starting to reach a breaking point so we went back to the hotel to chillax and watch some TV.

We went back out to eat a small Vietnamese dinner and walked around the Plains of Abraham and the Joan of Arc Garden. There, they also had a Canada day celebration where there was someone singing on a stage but in French.

Beef vermicelli
Lemongrass porkchops
Trees not made of trees! They are made with different coloured plants which is cool

We listened to a few songs and then walked to go admire the parliament building.

The massive parliament building. Keep in mind, this is just some of the front. It makes the Alberta Legislature look small.
They even had full-on statues of important people in French history like Samuel de Champlain and Jacques Cartier.

That was the end of our day. Tomorrow we will drive to Montreal.
