Bonjour Montreal! - Day 5
View from the Science Centre and Habitat 67

Today began by....eating Bok Choy and watching TV. The ultimate duo.

After getting ready, we braved the heat and made a stop at Tim Hortons. This time they had steeped tea (thé infusé) and they even had a carrot cake muffin with cream cheese frosting in it. It was satisfying.

Then we made our way to the subway station which is similar to Japan's, except Japan's is more orderly, quiet, and clean.

We got off at the Place d'Armes station to go to Notre Dame, a famous church in Montreal.

It's one of the biggest churches we've been into and the inside is decorated with intricate patterns and stained glass.

Then we went to have lunch. We ate at a highly recommended place by friends. The place is Lan Zhou Beef Hand-Pulled Noodles in Chinese.

Unfortunately for the kids, there was no AC and eating hot soup only made you hotter. Fortunately for Rita that's not a problem.

We ordered two beef original noodles and one Zhajiang noodle. They also had seven noodle thicknesses to choose them and we picked number 3 thickness.

The soup was very yummy and worth going to. The noodles had a great chewy texture. You can even watch the chef stretching the noodle dough in the front window while waiting to be seated. We definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a warm bowl of soup and who doesn't mind the heat in the summer.

Then we stopped at Presotea a bubbles tea place that has huge sizes. Their medium is the same as a large in normal bubble tea places.

We got some milk tea, mango slush, and passionfruit teas with aloe.

Armed with our bubble teas, we made our way to the Montreal Science Centre in the heat.

They had an exhibit on funny animal photography. They are funny and amazing at the same time; how people can catch these moments on camera.

You can be in a bubble for a bit too

Surprisingly, the science centre had no gift shop! This came as sad news to some people.

We got some Chinese buns for tomorrow morning and then headed back to the Airbnb to relax a little before getting in line for a sushi place.

While waiting, we stopped in a pharmacy to grab some aloe gel for sunburns, since some people were not that diligent about putting on sunscreen. We also chilled there for AC purposes.

Finally our table was ready. It was manga and anime themed restaurant. It was also like a buffet/all you can eat, which we didn't realize at first but we were hungry anyway.

It was very satisfying.

We were originally going to eat dessert at a matcha place but had to postpone it to another day since we were too full.
