Shrines, Billboards, and Unfortunate events- Day 2
Today started off with a bit of jetlag. Everyone woke up early and couldn't fall asleep.
Once we got ready, we visited a famous shrine: the Meiji Shrine. It was cool to see all the wishes, floral arrangements, and Japanese culture. The trees were also super rounded, which made them cute to look at.

There was some official event going on, so we didn't get to visit the actual shine. On the way out, we did get a Japanese garden good luck charm, wishing us 'soundness in mind and body'.

Next we visited a garden called the Meiji Jingu Gyoen. Though the flowers were not in season, it was still cool to walk around.

There we saw a huge spiders. Because of the warm climate and humid conditions, they can grow really big, and look much different from the ones in Calgary.

We had a nice ramen lunch with gyoza in Harajuku.

We were planning to go to the Olympic museum, but what we didn't realize, it was closed temporarily for inspection.
Marcus was especially sad since he picked it to do. While thinking of what to do next, we spotted this praying mantis, which was so cool since we don't see those around Calgary.

We ended up seeing the 3D billboard in Shinjuku. It was pretty cool. Sadly our phones didn't pick it up quite so well.

We needed to recharge, so we ate at a Matcha cafe.

Once recharged, we tested our luck at a claw machine and arcade.

Amelia really wanted a octopus plush in a claw machine, and so we tried, but ultimately failed. We were sad but it was impossible. Rarely anyone got something, and most of the time, you would think your got something, but then the claw would loosen slightly, but would drop it, and with it your feelings.

After going on a train, buying Dango, and resting in the airbnb, we went out for dinner.
We were looking for a pasta place, but it was closed. So we went to the next option, a small restaurant that sells some small dishes. It was yummy.
