Science World - Day 6

Science World - Day 6

Today was our last full day here in Vancouver... So we went to another HK cafe!

We walked from our Airbnb to Ho Yuen. There we got Hong Kong milk tea (dong lai cha), fried single bone chicken wings, pineapple bun, and egg tart. It was so satisfying!

After, recharging a bit at the airbnb, we went for a small lunch at Westcoast Poke. It was rated the best poke place in 2022... And we agreed it was pretty good.

Then we went to Science World, the science centre.

They had exhibits about the body, creativity, Artemis launch with Lego bricks, and puzzles and optical illusions.

In the puzzles section they have metal puzzles, and Amelia was spending a lot of time on one puzzle trying to figure out how to solve it.

And she did! After 30 minutes of trial and errors and some brains.

That drained our hunger levels, so we went a to a place called Jo's Italian Deli. It focuses on being a convenient and casual place for Italian food.

And it was really good! We got fettuccine Alfredo, radiatore in a rosé sauce, and spaghetti and meatballs, and a pesto sandwich.

We had Chinese dessert at a place called Snackshot.

At the place they have a big rock and sand pit with many remote controlled diggers and many random small objects buried in the sand.

If you buy $25 worth of dessert, they give up 30 minutes to remote control the diggers. If you get at least 30g of trinkets in a box you get to spin wheel for a prize. You have to use the diggers and you can't touch the sand.

Turns out Marcus is great at this stuff, probably since he plays lots of games and drives RC cars. We got many trinkets (we tried to get the heaviest stuff).

After weighing it, we got ~130g 😆. And we got free curry fish balls (which we gave to a friend since we can't use it).

And dessert was good too! We got mango grapefruit sago, grass jelly sago, and some dessert with popping pearls, mango and other stuff.

That was good entertainment and we will come back home to Calgary tomorrow!
