Outdoor fun - Day 2
Today we visited Queen Elizabeth Park. Though the gardens are not in full bloom, we still got to enjoy the cherry blossoms.

At the park there was also a bird conservatory called the Bloedel Conservatory. They had parrots and cool species of plants there. We spent a good time admiring these things.
There are mice just roaming around the conservatory as "uninvited guests".

After they bird viewing, we looked at the gardens.

After lunch we craved Korean food, and we went to a restaurant called Sandeul. It was so satisfyingly good. We got soup, cheese corn, gimbap, hot-stone bibimbap, and galbi! 😋

After lunch, we went to a jetty to view planes that were landing. Marcus was especially happy about that. The walkway was built on top of the ocean and it was 4 km long. We didn't go all the way though.

We stopped at the outlet mall on the way back into town to get a Japadog because Rita and Steve wanted one. But Amelia and Marcus enjoyed the soy sauce butter fries!

It was cool to walk around an outdoor mall and it was like walking through a village.
We then visited UBC (University of British Columbia). It was so cool and big and we visited the book store too!

Amelia and Marcus also wanted to get Korean corn dogs here but were disappointed to find that it wasn't corn dogs and just had regular hot dogs instead.
So we continued with our plan to go to the Museum of Anthropology here. It was really neat, with lots of Indigenous exhibits but also tons of other artifacts from many parts of the world.

Finally, we finished up the day with hot pot! It was different for us because you pick all your raw ingredients and soup, and they weigh it so you can pay, and then they cook it all up for you. Very efficient!
If you eat here, we recommend you can judge how much you can eat to avoid overstuffing yourself.

This included green tea ice cream for dessert. Yay!
